A gap between swells and a break in the trade winds lined things up nicely at Toro-Toro this morning. With the size and push backed off, the reef settled into exactly the kind of wave it’s known for — easy, playful lefts and rights peeling off in both directions, with long, open walls to work with. The crew made the most of it, picking off wave after wave through a genuinely fun session.

Dry season in Bali usually brings bigger, more powerful swell and stronger wind, and Toro-Toro can get pushed around by conditions better suited to heavier reefs like Uluwatu or Airport Right. A quieter window like today is something of an opportunity — the size drops into Toro-Toro’s sweet spot, the wind lays off, and the wave gets to show off the long, playful character that makes it the surf camp’s favourite.
