Padang Padang Surf Spot Info, Report and Forecast

A new, bigger swell has arrived today and Padang Padang was great to surf for our beginner and intermediate groups. Shoulder-high, clean sets came in consistently and were breaking perfectly at this beautiful surf spot. With no wind at all this morning, the conditions were glassy and everyone enjoyed the session.

With the rainy season coming closer, we expect the swells to be smaller than the last couple of months. This is not a bad sign, it only means that other surf spots will work better and that we can explore more of the Island. The east side of Bali is a great place to look for perfect right-handers. Often we are greeted by silky smooth conditions and only a handful of other surfers in the line-up. This is what everyone is looking forward to and is excited about.

Surfing is a great way to make use of a rainy morning. Often, the waves are perfect when it’s raining and fewer people share the line-up.

It was the case today, heavy rain was a good enough reason for many people to stay in bed. But not for us! We took full advantage of the empty line-up and caught some amazing waves. This made everyone happy despite the cloudy weather and we are motivated to go for another session later today.

Padang Padang, again was great today! The swell has faded and shoulder-high waves came through consistently. Perfect for our beginner and intermediate groups who just started to catch green waves and doing first turns.

With surf conditions like this, making progress is much easier and much more fun. Having a consistent training ground is immensely important to improve your surfing skills. Bali suits all skill levels and even in one week, it is possible to step up your surfing game dramatically. Besides that, the fun factor of catching amazing waves make learning and progressing so much better. It motivates you to keep going and keep improving.

What a great session this morning! To be fair, the weather wasn’t the best, but the waves made up for it. Fewer people in the water also helped to catch more waves and we could enjoy the surf session even more.

When spending a week in Bali, surfing every day two times, the progress you make is huge. Beginner and intermediate surfers can learn and improve their surfing skills at Baby Padang, while more advanced surfers can get the barrels of their lives at the main peak, also called the “Balinese pipeline”. Today it was all about improving wave catching, turning and having a good time.

In Bali, waking up early in the morning is a common practice for most people. Especially surfers don’t want to miss the perfect waves and want to start the day with a great feeling. Having a fun surf session first thing will get you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

During this time of year, in the south of Bali, the conditions are perfect all day long. What matters most is the tides and swell size. If you wanted to, you could surf twelve hours a day. We usually do two surf sessions a day, one early morning and another one in the afternoon or whenever the conditions are best. This way you get the most out of your stay with us and can practice as much as possible without getting worn out.

A new swell arrived this morning and the waves were considerably bigger than yesterday. Nevertheless, Baby Padang was great and offered long rides for our intermediate guests. It wasn’t as easy as usual to catch waves due to the bigger swell, but with the help of our instructors, everyone got more than enough.

Breakfast was well deserved after the morning session and we are looking forward to another surf this afternoon. The tide will be much higher later on and it is perfect to start catching green waves. The gentle breaking peaks are suitable for beginners who want to start going along the green face of the wave. Tomorrow, the surf conditions will be similar before the swell drops at the end of this week.

Today the waves were a little smaller again, but due to the incoming tide, the conditions were very good and suitable for our beginner group.
