Bali Surf Guiding Reports

After days of rain in the bukit, the skies have finally cleared up showing sunny blue sky.

Today’s waves were breaking shoulder to over head high with soft on-shore winds.

Stoke that more swell is on the way, surfing for days!

January is behind us and we’re now in to February with sunshine and waves, light winds and fair surfing conditions.

Today we went to one of Bali’s premier east-coast surf breaks — Sri Lanka — consistent head-high waves and lots of fun!

Very good swell size for this time of year. Onshore on the west coast so we cruised over to the east coast today to one of Bali’s premier right-hand surf spots — Sri Lanka — which is located in front of Club Med in Nusa Dua.

Very crowded for a pandemic, but plenty of good waves coming through and everybody got their share.

We’re all very happy that the sun is out and and there’s a good swell!

As all west coast is onshore and there’s no swell, Pandawa is crowded as there’s nowhere else to go in the bukit.

Waves were breaking knee to waist high with shoulder high sets. It’s a slow day so once a wave comes everyone seems to compete on catching them, a reminder to not be greedy and accidents also happen in the water!

Hopefully more swell on the way and sunny days ahead.

Today’s swell were pretty small but our intermediate group decided to surf Uluwatu and see if they’re lucky after the constant rain these past few days.

Luckily enough, some waves were breaking although it took patience.

The waves were breaking waist to shoulder high with some bumps a long the way.

The wind turned onshore as it hit midday so might be better later afternoon.

The swell has picked up since yesterday and the waves were breaking beautifully.

After days raining up in the bukit area, today has been sunny and bright.

Waves were breaking waist to shoulder high and the occasional overhead barrels.

The wind was offshore during our morning session but as it hit midday it turned windy onshore

As it was windy in the west coast, our intermediate and advanced group headed to Pandawa beach.

Wind was howling offshore and waves were breaking waist to head high with occasional over heads.

The swell is expected to hit tomorrow morning, hopefully more waves like this morning.

There was an unexpected swell this morning and luckily Pandawa handled it very well.

Some beautiful overhead sets were breaking alongside waist and shoulder high waves.

Wind was blowing gentle offshore as seen in the pictures, the waves were bomb with Gunung Payung also breaking in the distance.

Looking well for tomorrow, hopefully we close 2020 with good surfs. Cheers.
