Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

The sun was shining and the wind was light for another morning of perfect surf down the road at Uluwatu today

Swell was a similar size to the past couple of days, breaking around head-high on sets and, although there were a few barrels on offer, the speed and power of the waves was relatively friendly and accessible for the intermediate surfers too

We’re delighted that certain visas are now being issued by the Indonesian government which must be applied for in advance. We’ll be ramping up operations for our soft re-opening on 1st November, so get in contact now for more information on how you can join us for an exclusive surfing experience

Advanced Surf Guiding at Bingin, Bali

With a little more swell on offer, we knew that Bingin would have come to life this morning so that’s where we headed for today’s dawn session

As with most days at the moment, there was only a small crew out enjoying the clean waves which were breaking between chest-high and head-high plus

We’re delighted that certain visas are now being issued by the Indonesian government which must be applied for in advance. We’ll be ramping up operations for our soft re-opening on 1st November, so get in contact now for more information on how you can join us for an exclusive surfing experience

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

After a small increase in swell overnight, Uluwatu was back in the extremely fun and playful range of chest to head-high this morning — suitable for both intermediates and advanced surfers.

The wind was light and which kept the waves very clean and there were plenty of long glassy waves for everyone to enjoy along the full length of the reef.

Intermediate Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

The tail end of a reasonably small well typically provides great waves for the intermediate surfers at Uluwatu and that’s where we headed for this morning’s dawn session

There were few people in the water as waves were breaking between knee and chest-high and a whole lot of Bali’s tropical wildlife was on display, from the monkeys that call Uluwatu home to a resident monitor lizard!

We’re expecting the first signs of a new medium/small swell to be arriving overnight and building over the next couple of days, so there’ll be plenty more uncrowded waves for the rest of the week

We returned to Uluwatu this morning where conditions were great for both intermediate and advanced surfers

Waves were mostly breaking between shoulder and head high, the sun was out, and the wind was light

We expect the current swell will fade over the next couple with a small bump during the week before what looks to be a new larger swell arriving into next weekend

We’re delighted that certain visas are now being issued by the Indonesian government which must be applied for in advance. We’ll be ramping up operations for our soft re-opening on 1st November, so get in contact now for more information on how you can join us for an exclusive surfing experience

Advanced Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

The swell had increased throughout the day yesterday, so this morning Uluwatu was breaking at a size and with the power that’s only suitable for the advanced surfers

With the tide on the lower side, both the main peak and racetracks sections of the reef were working nicely with waves between chest and overhead breaking cleanly in the light morning breeze

There might be another bump in swell height again before tomorrow meaning all the primary local breaks will be working and serving up plenty of waves for surfers of all abilities

We’re delighted that certain visas are now being issued by the Indonesian government which must be applied for in advance. We’ll be ramping up operations for our soft re-opening on 1st November, so get in contact now for more information on how you can join us.

Intermediate Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

The ladies were leading from the front at Uluwatu this morning — getting the pick of the waves and showing the guys how it’s done

Swell height was a little smaller than yesterday but the eager crew who were out for the dawn session got to enjoy a much quieter session than the previous morning before the tide dropped too low

We’re expecting a small bump in swell later today so we’ll be back at Uluwatu again tomorrow morning for more of the same

Intermediate Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

It was the turn of the intermediate surfers to enjoy Uluwatu today after being patient for the tide to fill in following the morning low tide

With the current swell fading, wave height was mostly between knee and chest high and the shorter wave period meant the waves didn’t have quite as much punch as normal

The stiff breeze resulted in conditions being a little bumpy and messy at times — by our normal very high standards — but a solid crowd of surfers and bodyboarders were enjoying themselves out in the sun

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

We were down at Uluwatu again this morning where it was a grey but still morning and there were a few small groups of surfers spread all the way between the Racetracks and Temples sections of the reef

Wave height was ranging from a mellow chest-high up at low-tide Temples through to a hollower head-high-plus wave on sets down at Racetracks — something for everyone!

Tomorrow we’re expecting another day of similar-sized swell which means that, once again, Uluwatu is likely to be serving up waves that are suitable for a large range of abilities from intermediate to advanced surfers
