Our beginner group headed to Balangan beach this morning for both of their sessions of surfing lessons where the sun was shining and the waves were absolutely perfect for learning to surf.
Wave height was in the beginner-friendly range of ankle to knee-heigh which is ideal for building confidence and working to build a consistent pop-up.
As the swell remained small this morning the intermediate and advanced group from PPSC returned to Greenbowl to make the most of the waves on offer.
Waves were breaking between knee and shoulder height so it would have been nice if the swell was a little bigger, but the clean, uncrowded and sunny conditions were still enjoyed by everyone.
After breakfast back at the surf camp, the group surfed their second session at Uluwatu, meanwhile our beginners’ group were surfing on the west cost of the Bukit peninsular at Balangan.
Ast the wave height had dropped again since the previous day, our intermediate and advanced group headed back to local swell-magnet Greenbowl for their first session of the day.
Waves were breaking cleanly both left and right and everybody caught plenty of waves before making their way back to the surf camp to refuel before their second session of the day at Nikko.
Swell size had dropped overnight but there were still plenty of waves on offer for both intermediates and beginners as our two groups headed back to Geger Left again this morning for their group and semi-private surfing lessons.
Waves were breaking in the knee to shoulder-high range and were very clean on what was a beautiful, uncrowded sunny morning of ‘wet-season’ waves here in paradise.
In a change to our original schedule, Geger Left in Nusa Dua was the spot of choice this morning for our beginner and intermediate groups’ first sessions of the day.
We had group, semi-private and private lessons all taking place this morning and everybody enjoyed the clean, uncrowded waves that were breaking between knee and waist high.
Our beginners and intermediates joined forces this morning to surf at Balangan — one of our local west-facing beaches.
Thanks to the light morning wind, everybody got to enjoy their lessons at what is typically a dry-season break and took advantage of the clean and uncrowded knee to waist-high waves that were coming through on the sets.
The westerly wet-season winds returned this morning so our intermediate group made the trip to Geger Left for their first session of surfing lessons this morning.
Waves weren’t as big as yesterday and a fair number were sectioning or closing out, but it was still very clean and everybody enjoyed plenty of rides.
For their second session, the group will be surfing at Mushroom Rock in Nusa Dua where they’ll join up with our beginner group who surfed their first session next door at Black Stone.
Our intermediate and advanced group were welcomed to the beach by a stunning sunrise this morning as they ventured down the infamous Greenbowl stairs for their first session of surf lessons for the day.
The waves were pumping with very clean sets breaking in the shoulder to head-high range and long rides running left and right down the reef.
Everybody caught lots of waves in what was a challenging but very rewarding session and after a break between sessions, the group surfed again at Uluwatu later in the morning.
This morning our beginner group made the short journey to sunny Padang Padang beach for their first session of surf lessons.
It was a beautiful morning with conditions being just about perfect for learners with clean waves breaking around knee height.
