Intermediate Surf Lessons and Guiding at Airport Rights, Bali

When there’s not quite enough swell for surf camp favourite Toro Toro, the next wave up the reef — Airport Rights — is usually the next stop and that’s exactly where the surf lessons and guiding took place this morning for our intermediate groups.

Not quite as clean as it was yesterday, waves were breaking in the chest to head-high range and the lack of crowds ensured that everybody caught loads of waves.

After breakfast our beginners and intermediates surfed at Dreamland and our advanced guiding group — who surfed the dawn session at Uluwatu — surfed at Greenbowl

Intermediate Surfing Lessons and Guiding at Toro Toro, Bali

Among all the guests who stay at Padang Padang Surf Camp, Toro Toro must be the wave most commonly found at the top of their ‘favourite surf spots’ lists and today it was our intermediate surfers who got to experience it for themselves.

Our intermediates headed out on the boat from Jimbaran alongside the airport runway for their surf lessons and guiding where the waves were breaking in the chest to head-high range on sets.

Everybody had a great session and loads of fun in the glassy morning conditions as the sun rose over Bali.

Advanced surf guiding at Greenbowl, Bali

Just for an absolutely amazing sunrise at Green Bowl it is worth it to wake up early and the surf is also great there. This morning our advanced group enjoyed both the beautiful sunrise and great surfing session. Swell size bigger than yesterday, so size of the waves were shoulder high to head high or overhead high on sets. Perfect condition with light off shore wind very enjoyable.
Our intermediate group had surf lessons at Toro Toro  this morning. Conditions are clean today and excellent for improvers, waves are chest high to shoulder high and head high on some sets.

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding and Lessons at Dreamland, Bali

Our intermediate and advanced groups were back at Dreamland at low tide for their first session this morning.

Swell was slightly smaller than yesterday but still providing waves in the chest to overhead range which provided a challenge for some but were fun and rewarding for all.

After breakfast our advanced group surfed at Uluwatu and the intermediates joined the beginners at Padang Padang for their second sessions of the day.

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Lessons and Guiding at Dreamland, Bali

With a very low tide to start the day and an increase in swell size overnight, Dreamland was always going to be the spot of choice for the first session of the day for our intermediate and advanced group of surfers.

With almost no wind, the conditions were beautifully glassy and waves were breaking between shoulder and slightly overhead for the group lessons and surf guiding.

After a breakfast refuel back at camp the second session of the day took place at Uluwatu for our advanced surfers and at our local break of Padang Padang for our beginners and intermediates.

Intermediate and Advanced Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

Our intermediate and advanced guiding group took the short trip down the road to Uluwatu this morning where the onshore wind was unfortunately not creating the perfectly clean conditions that we’re accustomed to.

Whatever today’s waves lacked in quality, however, was made up for by the unusually small crowd at Uluwatu and our guests were able to enjoy the waist to head high waves with a relatively low number of other surfers in the water.

Elsewhere at the surf camp this morning our beginners surfed at Dreamland for their first session before heading to our local break at Padang Padang for their second surf of the day.

Beginner and Intermediate Surfing Lessons at Toro Toro, Bali

It was an early start for our beginner and intermediate group this morning as they headed for Jimbaran bay at first light to catch the boat out to the reef at Toro Toro for their group and private surfing lessons.

A common favourite among our intermediate surfers, Toro Toro was breaking perfectly this morning for our students with waves of an impressive size — up to to head high — yet still friendly and accessible enough for even relatively new surfers to enjoy.

Elsewhere at camp this morning our advanced group were taking advantage of in-water surf photography services with a private lesson at Greenbowl and our beginners were surfing at our local break of Padang Padang.

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Lessons and Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

Another day, another great surfing session. This morning both of our advanced and intermediate groups headed to Uluwatu for surf guiding and surf lessons. Swell is bigger and conditions are clean with light offshore wind.  The waves are shoulder high to head high or overhead high on sets.  Perfect opportunity for advanced group to practice different surf maneuvers. Our intermediate learners were trying to keep up with more experienced surfers and did their best during surf lessons.

Our beginners at the same time enjoyed their surf lessons at Toro Toro beach this morning. Very comfortable conditions for beginners surf lessons. Not so busy and waves are waist high to chest high. Seems like someone had really nice surf sessions this morning.

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Lessons and Guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

There were waves of varying sizes and shapes on offer this morning as our intermediate and advanced surfing groups headed the short distance to Uluwatu for their first surf sessions of the day.

The swell was a little slower coming through than it had been for the previous evening’s sunset session but conditions were clean and glassy and waves ranged from chest to overhead on the larger sets.

From our intermediates making some of their first turns down the line to our expert instructors like Blacky boosting enormous airs, everyone had a great morning of waves.
