Advanced Surf Guiding and Private Surf Lessons at Greenbowl, Bali

For the first session of the morning our advanced group headed to Greenbowl for surf guiding and private surf lessons.

Waves were coming through in the shoulder to head-head range with a few larger sets and had plenty of power — as is typical of the more exposed south coast breaks. The onshore wind resulted in some choppiness but everyone had a great session.

Elsewhere at the surf camp this morning two full vans of our beginners started their day at Dreamland and the intermediate group joined them a stone’s throw away at A-frame.

Advance surf guiding at Uluwatu, Bali

Happy new year 2020

It was another beautiful dawn session for our advanced surfers this morning down the road at Uluwatu. Swell is bigger and conditions are clean with light offshore wind.  The waves are shoulder high to head high or overhead high on sets.  Perfect opportunity for advanced group to practice different surf maneuvers.

Our beginners at the same time enjoyed their surf lessons at Padang Padang beach this morning. Very comfortable conditions for beginners surf lessons. Not so busy and waves are waist high to chest high. Seems like someone had really nice surf sessions this morning.

Advanced Surf Guiding at Greenbowl, Bali

Our advanced group made the journey to the south coast of the Bukit peninsular to Greenbowl this morning for their first surf session where it’s safe to say it was pumping!

Waves were coming through in the head-high to overhead range with hollow rippable walls and barrell sections galore — as you can see from today’s gallery.

Elsewhere at surf camp our intermediates were in action at Dreamland for their first session and our beginners surfed at our favourite local spot for learning to surf — Padang Padang.

Intermediate Surfing Lessons and Guiding at Dreamland, Bali

With the very low tide coinciding with dawn — our favourite time of the day to be in the water here at the surf camp — Dreamland was the spot of choice for today’s intermediate surf lessons and guiding.

The swell predicted overnight hadn’t quite arrived at the start of the morning but it certainly filled in during the session and there were fun and challenging waves on offer for all of our intermediates to test themselves against.

After stopping back at the surf camp for breakfast our intermediate group surfed their second session at Balangan. Elsewhere at surf camp, we had our beginners surfing at Padang Padang and the advanced group started their day at Greenbowl.

Advance surf guiding at Gunung payung, Bali

Merry Christmas everyone, after the second surf session all of our guests enjoyed  a very special BBQ lunch, completed with fantastic Carrot cake there are waiting for the guests.

Bali and surfing, these two words can be considered as a synonyms. Consistent wave whole year round is gorgeous privilege for this amazing island. Our surfers make sure of it any time they come to learn and enjoy surfing with us and they know that they will get the best surf experience here.

This early morning our advance group enjoyed remarkable sunrise along with surf guiding at Gunung Payung beach. Conditions are perfect today, bright sunny day fresh offshore wind, waves are clean with the size chest high to head high an overhead on sets.

Our Beginners group enjoyed their surf lessons at Padang padang this morning. Fun and chill. It was a great surfing session.sjshjsh

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding and Lessons at Uluwatu, Bali

Our intermediate and advanced surf guiding group headed to Uluwatu at dawn today for their first surf session of the day and were delighted to be greeted by clean, glassy conditions and relatively thin crowds.

It’s a common misconception that surf lessons are mainly for beginners but the positional advice and coaching is hugely valuable at breaks like Uluwatu where the benefit of local knowlege equals a much higher wave count.

Swell height was similar to yesterday with waves ranging from chest high to overhead on the larger sets and everybody caught plenty of waves — especially those having lessons and benefiting from the guidance of their expert instructor.

Intermediate Surf Lessons and Guiding at Airport Rights, Bali

When there’s not quite enough swell for surf camp favourite Toro Toro, the next wave up the reef — Airport Rights — is usually the next stop and that’s exactly where the surf lessons and guiding took place this morning for our intermediate groups.

Not quite as clean as it was yesterday, waves were breaking in the chest to head-high range and the lack of crowds ensured that everybody caught loads of waves.

After breakfast our beginners and intermediates surfed at Dreamland and our advanced guiding group — who surfed the dawn session at Uluwatu — surfed at Greenbowl

Intermediate Surfing Lessons and Guiding at Toro Toro, Bali

Among all the guests who stay at Padang Padang Surf Camp, Toro Toro must be the wave most commonly found at the top of their ‘favourite surf spots’ lists and today it was our intermediate surfers who got to experience it for themselves.

Our intermediates headed out on the boat from Jimbaran alongside the airport runway for their surf lessons and guiding where the waves were breaking in the chest to head-high range on sets.

Everybody had a great session and loads of fun in the glassy morning conditions as the sun rose over Bali.
