Beginner Surfing in Bali

This morning our beginner and intermediate surfers jumped in the boat to surf Tower in Jimbaran bay. Named after the large towers used to mark the deep water channel for large boats, this is a great spot for progressing from white water to surfing the green faces and friendlier than nearby Toro Toro, which is a slightly longer boat ride away.

As you can see from today’s photos, our guests all caught some great waves in the late October sun. No sign of wet season so far!

Elsewhere at the surf camp, our other surf lessons took place at Bingin Rights, Nikko and Jimbaran today, so there was something to suit everybody — carefully selected, as always, by our expert local surf guides and instructors.

With a big swell hitting Bali’s shores today, our beginner group headed for the sheltered safety of Jimbaran Bay for their surf lessons this morning.

Wave height today was perfect for learning to surf in Bali at knee- to waist-high — ideal for our beginners to get their first experience progressing from whitewater to riding the faces of green waves.

Whatever the conditions, our experienced surfing instructors will always find the best and most suitable waves on offer each day for our beginner, intermediate and advanced groups.

This morning our beginner and intermediate groups started the day with a trip to our local break, Padang Padang rights, for their group and semi-private lessons.

Waves were generally around waist to chest-high — a perfect size for building your confidence and skills in a safe and fun environment.

The sun was shining, the light winds kept the waves clean and everybody had a great time. There were even a few party waves shared between our guests.

The beginner and intermediate groups from the surf camp traveled the short distance to Dreamland beach this morning for the first session of surf lessons today.

The beautiful weather continued for another morning with very light wind and clean, friendly waves that are perfect for our guests to improve their surfing in safe and fun conditions.­­­

After breakfast back at the surf camp, the groups will continue their surf lessons at Uluwatu and Padang Padang.

The swell size had dropped off since yesterday so our beginner and intermediate groups visited Dreamland this morning where they were the first in the water for surf lessons and guiding. Conditions were clean and glassy with very light winds and everyone had a lot of fun surfing both left and right-handers.

After breakfast, our surfers headed out for their second sessions at either Padang Padang and Balangan before returning to camp for our weekly delicious BBQ lunch.

This morning our camera went to Baby Padang where surf lessons for our beginners took place. Swell is a bit bigger today and our novice surfers are happy to surf at one of their favorite spot. Conditions are excellent today, bright sunny day a bit windy offshore.  Waves are clean and chest high to shoulder high on sets. Great session!
