Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

This morning we took another trip to the south coast of the Bukit Peninsular to Pandawa for a session for the advanced and intermediate group

Waves were a little softer than our recent visits but there was plenty of size as waves were breaking between head-high and a foot or two overhead on the sets.

A small amount of wind resulted in a little texture on the water but in general the conditions were very clean.

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

Our intermediate and advanced group headed to Pandawa for the dawn session today to make the best of the small swell on offer

Conditions were clean and although only breaking between knee and shoulder-high, waves had the extra power than you can normally rely on at Padawa

By the end of the session the crowds were starting to build but not before everybody had plenty of waves and were ready for their delicious breakfast back at camp

Advanced Surf Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

After checking in at Uluwatu — which was onshore and messy — our advanced group headed along the coast to Pandawa this morning

The wind wasn’t perfect but, with a little help from the smoothening effect of the channel, the conditions were nice and clean with some solid waves breaking in both directions along the reef between around head high a couple of feet overhead.

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

Our intermediate and advanced group headed to Pandawa this morning which had some good conditions with waist to head high waves.

With a few nice barrels to be found, the inside had some nice waves for the intermediate group too.

By the end of the session the South wind had come, giving it some bump. So we head back for some delicious poke bowl lunch.

Advanced Surf Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

Conditions in our local area were a little small for the advanced guiding group this morning so they headed to Padawa on the south coast of the Bukit.

Waves were nice and clean with just a small amount of texture on the surface and breaking solidly in the head high to double over-head range.

With a reasonable crowd of surfers in the water it was quite different from Pandawa’s former days as a semi-secret spot but with a good amount of swell in the water there were still plenty of waves for everyone to get their fill.

Advanced Surf Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

With bumpy conditions and the last of the remaining swell not offering much at our local breaks, we ventured to Pandawa on the the south coast of the Bukit Peninsular this morning.

Waves were quite clean and breaking with some power between head-high and a little overhead so it was certainly a session for the advanced surfers.

After a rainy morning with variable winds, the sun came out and the waves cleaned up nicely for the second session at Uluwatu.

Intermediate Surf Lessons and Advanced Guiding at Pandawa, Bali

After an initial check at Uluwatu where there wasn’t enough swell to surf, our intermediate and advanced group continued down along the south coast of the Bukit to former secret spot Pandawa for their first session of lessons and guiding this morning.

The sun was out and the conditions were glassy as the waves in the chest to head-high range peeled — mostly left — along the reef to the channel.

Even on days like today, when there’s very little swell hitting Bali’s shores, we’ll still find somewhere great to surf so what are you waiting for?

Intermediate and Advanced Surf Lessons and Guiding at Pandawa, Balu

After a dawn surf to start the day at Greenbowl and a delicious fresh breakfast back at the camp, our intermediate and advanced group headed out to Pandawa for their second session of semi-private lessons and surf guiding of the day.

There was a brisk cross-offshore wind blowing which was making conditions a little bumpy, but there were plenty of clean waves in the chest to shoulder-high range for everyone to enjoy.
